Front Cover Final Piece

To create my final piece front cover i drew out and scanned in each of the element from the story. Once i had scanned them in I put them onto Photoshop to change the levels and threshold of them.
I started to arrange them around a circle, so that i could have room for the title of the book in the middle of the front cover.

Once i had arranged them around the circle, I decided to change the size of the elements to make the cover look more interesting.
I decided to put the title of the story inside one of the elements that i had created from the story, which in this case is a penguin.
I did the same for the back of the book cover.

I started to colour in the the elements , using the same colours that are on my double page. Which in this case is greens and pinks. I also multiplied the layers of colours to make them look more interesting and appealing.
I then added the blurb on the back of the book and a picture of the author on one of the flaps of the book cover.
I started to add all of the expected conventions of the book onto my front cover to make it look like an actual book cover.

This is my final book cover piece.
