I created a fake screen print, by using some different images that I researched and found off Pinterest, that had different patterns and texture and also by using some images that I created myself using black ink and a brush.
I gathered 20 different images, and then I stuck them down on 5 different pieces of plain card, so that I had 4 different images on the different pieces of card.
After I had created the different images, I scanned them into Photoshop, where I could change the opacity of the images and also I could experiment with different colours to try and created a fake screen print. Firstly I experimented with the colours of yellow, green and black, used different hues/saturations of the colours and changed the opacity of the colours as well.
Next, I experimented with different colours. This time I chose to use the colours black, orange, purple and red. I changed the hues, saturations and the opacity of the colours and images, to try and create different screen prints, that looked like they had different textures.
These are some of the screen prints that i created using Photoshop, by using different hues and saturations of colours.
This is my overall, favourite fake screen print that I created using Photoshop. I found that the colours all worked well together and I thought that I could potentially incorporate this design into some of my ideas and designs for this unit.
